I am Sam’s Mama, Abby. On May 24, 2015, my husband Ted and I welcomed Sam Benjamin Newton into the world. I was 36 weeks & 4 days pregnant. Our sweet Sam was delivered at 6 pounds, 1 ounce & 19.5 inches long. Sam’s story is different because he is ours & because he was a stillborn baby.
I welcome you to follow along with me as I travel through life. I originally created this blog to write about my first year of journeying through grief. Now that we’ve made it, I hope my blog can continue to be an avenue of hope, life after loss, remembering Sam, and living with him.
I can assure you I am always thinking of Sam.
Sam is beautiful- I’m so sorry for your loss. X

Abby, my heart breaks for you. Add the fact that our babies share the same name, and it hits me on an extra personal level. It’s all still so recent; it’s a long road ahead. But it’s a good thing you seem to find comfort in blogging. It was quite therapeutic for me too and just felt easier than keeping an old fashioned diary. The blog also allowed me to include pictures easily, and that’s something I noticed is quite valuable in this grieving process. Pictures make it more real, and every little keepsake has its value.
I wish you lots of strength. Your little Sam was absolutely beautiful ❤

Thank you for writing. Even though my loss was 11 years after yours, I am still a work in progress. Love that you’re blogging. Come say hi, at http://www.doesthiscouchmakemelookfat.com and maybe I can share your story with my readers.
